Sierra de Mijas
Just behind the village. Trails wind through pine forests and marble quarries, with the Mediterranean always visible in the distance. On clear days, the views stretch as far as the Strait of Gibraltar.
The Moorish walls and their gardens
All that remains of the ancient fortress is a tower and several sections of wall, now surrounded by fountains and gardens. It is one of the best places in the village for an evening stroll.
Church of the Inmaculada Concepcion
A Gothic-Mudéjar church dating from the 16th and 17th centuries, located at the highest point of the historic centre. Its thirty-metre bell tower was originally a watchtower known as the Torre de la Vela.
